The Safeway pharmacy chain announced on Wednesday that it will be closing for a couple days due the flu virus outbreak.
The company will be open on Thursday.
It is unclear whether the closing of the pharmacy will affect the distribution of its products to the general public, though the chain does not currently sell any products through its website.
The nationwide outbreak of the flu has been devastating to the nation’s hospitals and medical systems.
It has also left thousands of patients without access to primary care or needed medications.
The flu has killed more than 3,000 people in the U.S. since February and killed about 7,500 in the last six months.
